Ob'enn
Description
A race of sophonts that look surprisingly close to a cross between hobbits and Earth Koalas, averaging between 1 and 1.5 meters tall [[[@http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2001-12-02%7C2001-12-02]]]. Their cute and cuddly exterior belies the fact that they are, in fact, among the most xenophobic, bloodthirsty, and generally irritated races in the Galaxy. They are perpetually at war with the rest of the galaxy, since they consider the extermination of "lesser species" a holy responsibility.
Making fun of Ob'enn ship naming conventions has been compared to "shooting fish in the Barrel of Circular Swimming"[[[1]]]. Examples include //The Cloak of Untrammeled Dignity, The Spear of Incalculable Agony [[[@http:www.schlockmercenary.com/2004-06-20|2004-06-20]]], and The Sceptre of Unrelenting Pain [[[@http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2004-07-09%7C2004-07-09]]], the fabber of which was later renamed Scrapyard of Insufferable Arrogance by the toughs [[[@http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2004-07-09%7C2004-07-09]]], Sword of Indomitable Righteousness [[[@http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2004-06-20%7C2004-06-20]]], Scimitar of Irreparable Damage [[[@http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2004-07-27%7C2004-07-27]]], and Staff of Unyielding Order [2004-07-27]. .

- Petey is technically an Ob'enn. His avatar has always been Ob'enn in form, and he used an Ob'enn body when he began cloning physical avatars as well.
- Boba Octob'ennopus. Despite only appearing in one strip [[[@http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2004-05-30%7C2004-5-30]]], he contributes strongly to the events of the latter half of The Scrapyard of Insufferable Arrogance.
