Description
As Lieutenant Commander, Shodan has command of Tagon's Toughs' infantry. As Sensei, Shodan is in charge of martial arts training. He claims to be ambidextrous [[[@http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2010-06-13%7C2010-06-13]]], but is left-handed when his right hand is unattached [[[@http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2016-08-21%7C2016-08-21]]].
Bio
Shodan was one of the first troops taken down by the diamond beetles[[[@http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2001-10-14%7C2001-10-14]]]. was made a lieutenant when the company expanded on Ghanj-Rho [[[@http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2002-04-14%7C2002-04-14]]].
His archtype superhero is Super Mario [[[@http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2010-05-24%7C2010-05-24]]].
He's not very good at the "Don't Accidentally Volunteer for Something" game [[[@http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2015-08-03%7C2015-08-03]]].

"Shodan" is Japanese for "First Dan", as in a newly-qualified black belt in a martial art. This is presumably a joke coined early on, like the better-known Der Trihs.
